Ed Saldivar - President/COO
Ed Saldivar is president of InsurTrust/KingPhillips Insurance Agency, Inc. During his 20 years with InsurTrust, Ed has developed excellent relationships with specialty carriers and shares that expertise with all customers of the Agency.
Ed contributes to the management of the Agency by developing new carrier markets, creating sales strategies with agency producers, and maintaining a high level of training for all employees of InsurTrust.
Ed is one of the top producer in the Agency and has a loyal following of clients who both appreciate and respect his attention to detail in fulfilling their insurance needs.
Ty Hunter - CEO / CFO Ty is the CEO/CFO
Ty Hunter – CEO / CFO Ty is the CEO/CFO of InsurTrust/King-Phillips Insurance Agency and is serving in several capacities. He graduated from the University of Texas in 1968 with a Bachelor of Business Administration. In 1984, he merged his insurance agency into a multi-city Insurance Agency.
Ty became their CEO and President from 1984 until 1988. In 1988, he organized a new Insurance Agency and operated independently until 1992. It was that year that he joined King-Phillips as a valuable member.
Ty has chosen to specialize in specific industries, and has developed knowledge of the inter-workings of the exposures and coverages available from the various insurance companies that are represented by King-Phillips. His ability to develop an excellent rapport with both clients and prospects, has enabled him to develop a successful group of loyal clients.
Mary Saldivar Frye - Director of Benefits / Account Sales Executive
Joining our agency in 2007, Mary focuses on Commercial and Employee Benefits Business Development. Her favorite part of her role is building relationships and partnering with business owners in protecting their business and controlling insurance costs.
She is focused on helping the small to mid size companies on strategically implementing employee benefit packages that are cost effective, including group health, dental, life, disability as well as serving the Commercial Business market.
She started her insurance career in 2000 working on the wholesale insurance side, working with top consulting firms and their clients fulfilling their benefit needs.
Andrea DeHoyos - Employee Benefits Account Executive
Andrea DeHoyos has over 20 years of employee benefits experience, with extensive consultative and account management experience. Andrea assumes responsibility for the employee benefits department helping employer customers design appropriate and affordable benefit plans while providing critical and competent follow up service to the insured.
Prior to joining KP in 2014, Andrea spent 13 years as an Account Executive for United Healthcare, a sales role where she worked with a wide range of top consulting firms throughout the Houston area.
Sandra Mendez - Account Service Specialist
Sandra is the newest addition to our benefits department joining the firm in 2016. She is bilingual. She assists our agents and clients with day to day duties of the group benefits department including providing great customer service. She is eager to help you with your insurance needs.
Marcos Vela - Account Sales Executive
Marcos Vela attended college at Tulane University and graduated in 1995. In 1996, he began his insurance career with Vela Insurance Agency Inc. where he developed the Life and Health Department.
In 2005, Marcos left Vela Ins and started his own company, Positive Benefit Solutions where he specialized in Employee Benefits. In March 2010 Marcos merged Positive Benefit Solutions with InsurTrust/King-Phillips Insurance Agency to expand his product portfolio.
Marcos was a Program Director with the Alvin/Manvel Rotary Club from 1997 to 1999. He was a Board of Director of the Alvin/Manvel Chamber of Commerce from 1997 to 1999. Currently he is the Board of Director for Sienna Plantation Management District.
Edward Saldivar Jr. - Account Sales Executive
Edward started his insurance carrier in 2014 joining our agency. He handles marketing for the Commercial Department as well as handling several InsurTrust / King Phillips accounts. He is new to the producer role and has quickly developed his own client portfolio.
With his background of 15 years in the industrial industry he brings a wealth of knowledge and understanding that clients in the industrial industry are looking for.
Mikki Moore - Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative
Mikki originally started her insurance career in Arkansas with Northwestern National Insurance Company. After a short period, she moved to the agency side. Since living in Houston she spent 20 years with Belsford insurance agency until joining InsurTrust/ King-Phillips Insurance Agency 15 years ago. Mikki works as an account manager for our Commercial accounts.
Lisa Garcia - Personal Lines Account Manager/Notary Public/Bilingual
Lisa was born in Brucetownship, Mi. and has been in Houston for 15 years. Started working for Titan Insurance in 2001 and became a licensed agent, started working for InsurTrust Insurance in June of 2015.
Utilizing her experience and knowledge of the insurance industry, she is better equipped to service all your insurance needs. Her goal for the agency is to build long lasting relationships with her customers. She would like to be your insurance agent for years to come.
By having many insurance companies, she can shop around for the best price for you. She is always available to help with all your insurance questions and concerns. Her core values include Honesty and Integrity when dealing with her customers. She takes pride in representing you as a customer and meeting your needs.
Tamara Klett - Personal Lines Account Manager
Tamara has been living in Houston since 2009 and in the Insurance business since 2010, became a licensed agent and has been with InsurTrust since July 2015.
She enjoys getting to know her customers on a more personal level and finding an insurance company that will give them the peace of mind they deserve. She is always available to help you with all your insurance questions and concerns. Her knowledge and our variety of insurance companies help her get the best rate for you. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.
As a Miami native Tamara loves the beach and anything that has to do with the outdoors. She also loves spending time with her family, especially her son and husband.
Tara James - Commercial Lines Account Manager
Tara James joined our team on September 1, 2016 as a Commercial Account Manager. She brings over 25 years of experience working in the insurance industry, servicing a vast range of businesses for their insurance needs and has worked for some well known, large brokers in the state. She is looking forward with excitement to service the clients of King Phillips Insurance Agency.
She enjoys spending time with her family and actively devotes her weekends volunteering in construction projects and a bible education work in her community.
Terri Holcomb - Commercial Lines Account Manager
Terri Holcomb joined our team in April of 2016 as a Commercial Account Manager. She brings over 25 years of experience working in the insurance industry and looks forward to asissting our commercial customers with their insurance needs.
Terri has earned the designation of Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) and Certified Account Manager (CAM) from The National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research.
She enjoys spending time with her husband and two German Shephard dogs in her spare time.
Janelle LeBato - ACSR Commercial Lines Account Manager
Janelle has worked for InsurTrust Insurance for thirty years. Her primary focus is Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative, but she also assist in the Accounting Department. She is very knowledgeable and is eager to assist you with your Commercial Insurance needs.
Joined our team three years ago working in our accounting department. She has an extensive background in accounting with over thirty years of experience. She looks forward to assisting you.
Candy Pepper - Commercial Lines Account Manager
Candy has been in the industry for over 40 years and joined King Phillips Insurance Agency / InsurTrust in 2011. She has worked on both the Agency and the Company side of the business as an agency Commercial Account Manager and a Company Commercial Underwriter. Experienced in all lines of Commercial Insurance and ready to assist in any insurance needs.
Deborah Stryk - Commercial Lines Account Manager
Deborah has been in the insurance industry for the past 37 years and with King Phillips Insurance Agency / InsurTrust since 2012. She started out as a personal auto underwriter for Hoccheim Prairie Insurance Company of Yoakum, TX for 10 years. Deborah was born and raised in Schulenburg, TX. She looks forward to assisting you with your insurance needs.
